New Director announced

East London Dance is delighted to today announce that Polly Risbridger has been appointed as Director to succeed Kiki Gale, who departs the organisation after 20 years of hugely distinguished service and great success. Polly, who is currently Creative Producer at East London Dance, will take up the post formally in August, leading the organisation into the next phase of its development.

Commenting on the appointment, Paul Reeve, Chair of the East London Dance Board of Trustees said: “East London Dance is an extraordinarily vibrant and dynamic organisation, and in Polly Risbridger we have appointed a dynamic leader, whose track record of forging key partnerships with artists and other organisations, and leading some of our most ambitious and successful initiatives of recent years, is second to none. We are confident Polly will build on Kiki Gale’s wonderful achievements and lead ELD to still greater heights.”

Speaking about her new appointment Polly said: “I am delighted to take up the role of Director at East London Dance this summer. East London is a very special place for dance with a thriving community and an entrepreneurial spirit. I look forward to building on an incredible legacy left by Kiki Gale and leading East London Dance into the next phase of evolution, positioning us as the place to go to discover the future of dance. I am also proud to be charting the way for the next generation of dance leaders and can’t wait to work with the fantastic staff team, board and all our partners on the exciting journey ahead.”
