Ignition 2014

Ignition is a UK-wide project delivered by Frantic Assembly to provide new, exciting ways for young men to get involved in the arts.

Big Dance is the UK’s largest festival of dance participation and performance that happens every two years. East London Dance is the Big Dance lead hub for east London.

Since 2005, Street Stories has brought together professional artists and young people from east London, with the shared aim of creating high-quality new work inspired by the Royal Opera House’s repetory.

Tomorrow’s Men is a groundbreaking organisation established by Jeanefer Jean-Charles, to address the disengagement of boys and young men from society and to support vulnerable young men build better relationships.

In 2012 MobileDance and East London Dance came together to deliver Postcards from East London. The project, conceived by Berlin based artist Jo Parkes, invites local artists to work with community groups to create short “moving postcards” of the area in which they live.

Discover Varmints is an interactive scrolling web experience for young people and their families. It allows ‘explorers’ (users) to delve deep into the themes of the well-received children’s book Varmints and behind the scenes of the successful dance theatre production Varmints, which toured the UK in 2013.
